Grey Bruce is not just about Snowmobiling. For down time from the sled, be sure to check out all that Grey Bruce has to offer.

A sled is not just powered by a throttle hand - dog sledding is an exciting way to explore at a fast pace. Tours allow you to try it out for yourself, or spend the day with a team of excited canines out on the trails. For another means of exploring the winter wonderland, rent a pair of snowshoes or cross country skis and pursue your adventures on foot.

Skating is a perfect family activity! There are numerous rinks and arenas in the area to sharpen your skates for, and of course - the quintessential Canadian event - hockey games! Most arenas support local teams, and you can always catch an Owen Sound Attack game at the Bayshore Community Center in Owen Sound.

Winter Camping is available at Bruce Peninsula National Park, a breathtaking biosphere reserve with the Niagara Escarpment snaking along the Georgian Bay coastline. If you'd like to try authentic winter camping but are not keen on the open cold, Yurt camping is a new and exciting way of experiencing both the comfort and excitement of sleeping outside.
